29 Jan How Does Social Security View Disability Claims for Back Pain?
Unfortunately, you can not simply receive SSI and SSD benefits for back pain. The SSA requires that you have a disabling condition that lasts at least one year. If you can provide evidence from medical attention you seek such as your physician providing an x-ray showing a spine impairment you suffer from, you then can receive benefits for such a back condition, but back pain does not meet the criteria required.
Social Security takes two big things into consideration. The severity of your condition and how credible your severity is with the proof/evidence that has been provided. That means how limited you are with such things as bending down or moving around and on the other hand, frequency of doctor visits, doctors take on your injury and therapy attempts.
You can always pursue an exam to provide as much information as you would like, the more the better.
